In general, the youth football landscape in Atlanta, as it is in most metropolitan areas across the country, is very fluid.  As programs, leagues, and teams change models, affiliations, and strategy continuously, primarily during the off season. At this moment, many more well-known programs are re-positioning and attempting to upgrade their status and considering realigning with new or existing strong, established organizations. NAFL is one of those strong established organizations.

We are committed to our community and have been for the last 42 years. We will continue to be the league of choice and the premiere youth football program in North Fulton County. Your families have been an integral part of maintaining what has been built and how we evolve as a league.

Over the last 6 weeks, we approached and had discussions with league representatives from the Forsyth County Youth Football Association (FCYFA). NAFL has chosen to partner with their organization for a number of factors that were weighed in our decision, including, but not exclusive to:

·        Geographical considerations and dedicated field space

·        Philosophy, reputation and established relationship between organizations

·        Competitive schedule (FCYFA has nearly 60 teams)

·        Grade make-up and age cutoffs

·        League structure

·        Overall appeal and potential for not only growth but influence

After weeks of strategy, much debate among our coaches and families, and heavy discussions with several leagues in Atlanta, NAFL has changed course and made a strategic decision that benefits 100% of our families. We want to be clear that we are not combining leagues, rather playing games against one another under the same playing rules.

The Forsyth County Youth Football Association provides youth recreational football and cheerleading for ages 5-14 and they promote good sportsmanship and fun while learning the fundamentals of football and cheerleading.

Nothing teaches young men these qualities like the game of football. Nothing.
